A Rising Force is an all original hard rock band from Minnesota signed to Dark Star/Sony/Universal. They wrote, recorded and then signed their first record deal with the label HighVolMusic in December of 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. The band collectively have had multiple albums released over the years, MMA nominations & awards, and national and international touring backgrounds.
Their debut CD ‘Undertow’ was originally released in May of 2021, and spawned 3 singles : ‘Love and War’, “Crushed” and “Yesterdaze Hell”. Both “Crushed” and “Yesterdaze Hell” reached the 97 Underground top ten, charting at #2 and #5 for the month of August, 2021.
Unfortunately, the untimely death of their Record Company President and Vice President Bill and Lori Chavis to Covid 19 put the release of their next single and video for the title track “Undertow” on hold, forcing the band to navigate through the legal challenges of retaining full ownership of their assets and rights to their music. They signed a new 2+1 album deal with the Dark Star Records/SONY/Universal label and re-released the first Album “Undertow” in February 2022, along with the title track video, which included a memorial to their late record company President and friend Bill Chavis.
Original Lead singer Mark Westlund decided to leave the group at the end of 2021 to pursue more time with his family. DiMancari’s good friend and lead singer of the National touring act Hairball referred the band to their new singer David Reed Watson (Electric Messiah, Kill Ritual, Alchemy Fire), who came into the audition and was offered the job after 3 songs. The band then added a second guitar player Billy Schlump (Stormbreaker). Billy had just moved on from Stormbreaker, and the band offered him an audition within a day of him splitting with his former band. The band recently opened for Tesla in 4 sold out shows throught the Midwest. In July of 2022, Petar Savage replaced the original drummer Lane Allen.
Last year the band performed to over 20 thousand fans and sold out of the first pressings of the album Undertow. Guitarist Leni DiMancari became part of the ESP guitars artist roster, and bassist Brian Lorenson retained an endorsement from DNA amps. They recently finished their latest studio Album entitled "Eclipse", released June 3rd, 2022. Their first single "Believe" is currently on the Billboard Radio charts Top 200. Their music is guitar-driven commercial hard rock combined with 4-part harmonies - all fronted by an arena rock lead vocalist. “Old school rock with a new world attitude”
